Undead was founded in 2023 by documentary cinematographer and lens nerd, Michael Koshkin, with the plan of rehousing lesser known and off the radar optics that exhibit unique character and will be useful tools for helping shape a unique perspective for cinematic storytelling.

Partnering with his friend and lens tech guru, Eelco Roes from Burning Eye AV, they began developing a design with focus on building a premium quality lens housing. With Eelco specializing on the opto-mechanics, the goals of the design have been to keep the lenses compact, precise, practical to use and of extraordinary quality.

We anticipate delivering our first copies from the Series 1 set before the end of 2024.
